4.5 mm underfoot: what it means in the gym
On a squat or a deadlift, stability comes from ground contact. The thicker the sole, the higher the foot sits, and the more compressible material there is between you and the bar. At 4.5 mm, the Groundsplay LS removes that layer. Footing becomes direct, and weight distribution across the five toes is felt immediately. The micro-lugs prevent slipping on gym flooring without turning the sole into a trail lug, which makes it usable on mats as well as on platforms.

The women's version of the Groundsplay LS uses the same construction in 9 sizes, 35 to 43. If your sessions revolve more around agility and movement than loaded work, the V-Train 2.0 adds arch lugs and reinforced lateral support.
Which size to choose
For strength work, a snug size is essential: the foot must move as one with the sole. Measure and check our size guide before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
Can you run in them?
That's not what it's for. 4.5 mm with no cushioning on asphalt is very demanding. Choose a running model instead.
Do the micro-lugs mark the floor?
No, the rubber is designed for indoor use.
What's the difference from the KSO EVO?

This is my fifth pair of five-finger shoes. They're really comfortable. I've already worn them on mountain hikes and I have to say they performed really well.
Bought to replace my old orange Bikila EVOs. Very satisfied, the fit matches my usual size and the support is great. Nice color too, I just wish there were a few more choices.
